BC U-18 Championships: 4th Place
The BC U-18 Championships were held December 18th through 22nd at the Richmond Curling Club. Team Lougheed ended up finishing in 4th place out of 11 teams!
In the triple knockout format, we started on Friday with a win over Team Mathers in the A event, followed by a loss to Team White to move to the B event. A loss on Saturday to Team Reynolds moved us to the C event, and that was followed by wins over Team Fung on Saturday and Team Mathers on Sunday to make it to the C Qualifier game. In a rematch against Team White on Sunday evening, the team won to qualify for the semi-finals.
On finals Monday, we lost to eventual champions Team Reynolds in the semi-finals, then a close-fought game against Team Wong in the Bronze final.
It was a great experience, and with 2 more years of eligibility our hopes are high for future podium finishes. Congratulations to Team Reynolds!
