CurlBC held the trials to determine Team BC for 2027's Canada Winter Games to be held in Quebec City between January 23rd and 25th at the Chilliwack Curling Club. Team Lougheed was one of 6 teams competing on the boys' side, with 3 teams competing to be the girls' representative.
Through Friday and Saturday, Team Lougheed was undefeated after 4 games, setting up a final round robin game against the similarly undefeated Team Jaeger that would determine the winner. After a hotly contested game that saw both teams limited to single points or blanks, Team Jaeger came away with a 3-2 victory.
The Canada Winter Games also hosts a mixed doubles competition, and several of the boys along with their partners will be competing in CurlBC's mixed doubles trials in March. We wish Team Jaeger all the best in Quebec next year!
